Dr Lala is a practising interventional endoscopist, specialising in performing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. These procedures offer minimally invasive alternatives to surgery through the endoscopic resection of premalignant lesions, early malignancies and the treatment of motility disorders within the gastrointestinal tract. Dr Lala completed his speciality training in internal medicine and subspecialty training in gastroenterology at the university of the Witwatersrand. He subsequently completed a fellowship in advanced endoscopy in Belgium. He is heavily invested in training and improving quality in endoscopy both locally and abroad
